Glenn Hayes creates memories. By blending the present with the past he creates the illusions of a bygone era that lurk beneath the surface in the collective subconscious of a generation that is looking for the comfort of our earlier years. Whether it is the sights of the neighbourhood service station, delivering papers after school, or coming home after playing hockey with your brother on the local pond, Hayes images evoke a simpler space in time that we all long for in one way or another. His work won Viewers Choice Award at last years Manitoba Society of Artists Juried Show, and he will be participating in the 25th Annual Buckhorn Wildlife and Art Show in 2002. Recent work has been licensed by the NHL, and he continues to produce a growing number of corporate commissions to mark significant anniversary dates for clients in his native Winnipeg. He works as Creative Director of Marketing for the Winnipeg Free Press during his work day, and pursues his passion for painting and illustration most evenings and weekends. His work is in collections throughout North America and Europe as well. His work is available in Limited Edition paper prints as well as Canvas Giclee.
