British
artist Jeremy Steyn began drawing cars in the early 70's. The
inspiration for his work comes from his passion for supercars
& bikes, custom cars & bikes, dragsters & race machinery.
Inspired by their design and the look of their engines, he regards
many machines in these categories as true works of art in their
own right. He describes his work as abstract bike & car art,
although some people think it is actual vehicle design, and,
if the opportunity arose, working in conjunction with an engineer,
he would love to design an extremely radical supercar or bike,
or a vehicle for congested cities like a car that contains a
motorbike for those bad traffic days! His other ambitions for
the future are projects such as creating some large scale carbon
fibre sculptures, creating a design to go on a manufacturer's
car to produce an "art car", designing some liveries
to go on racing cars, power-boats or air-craft, and exhibiting
large scale versions of his work world-wide. His work has received
much attention this year in Canada at art exhibitions at the
International Motorcycle Show in Toronto, at the Molson Indy,
and in March appeared on T.V as a backdrop to an interview with
Edwin at Canadian Music Week. His work has been in the U.K. magazine
Back Street Heroes, he has received coverage in the U.K's biggest
selling bike publication Motor Cycle News, and he is currently
working towards a feature in the U.K's big selling "Car"
magazine. Jeremy Steyn's work continues to evolve and he is especially
interested in commission work, the wilder the better!! Please
