 Jim
Swintal best known as the Chief Starter for Championship Auto
Racing Teams, has been a racing artist for over ten years. Jim's
work has been used as Event posters and program covers at many
of the top tracks in North America. He has also been commissioned
by many top companies and race teams to commemorate significant
events in their history. The Dayton Indy Lights series has awarded
an original Swintal each year to its Champion and this year the
Toyota Atlantic Series has also presented the Champion with an
original piece of art. Jim's formal training is in the field
of Architecture with a degree from Notre Dame University, originally
from Chicago, Jim has moved to the west coast of the U.S.A. and
lives just outside of Los Angeles Although most of his work centres
on Indy Cars he is also accomplished at LeMans Prototypes, motorcycles
and classic racing cars of many different styles. The bulk of
Jim's prints have come to market in the past 5 years and through
a close partnership with Rod Grundy of StartLine International
has expanded his name to many previously new areas. |
