STEVEN HOUSTON

A graduate of graphic design at Dawson College in Montreal, Steven has enjoyed a successful career in commercial art as both a designer and illustrator. His commercial works include projects for Molsons, Sony and the Canadian Hockey League. Steven has an extensive background in sports art, working successfully in either watercolour or acrylic mediums. His fine attention to detail has been captured on many originals including a series of painted hockey sticks commemorating the 1991 Canada Cup. Each piece is individually numbered and signed by Wayne Gretzky. Numerous high profile personal collectors possess Steven's original works, including Bobby Orr, the late John Candy, Don Cherry, Ron McLean, Elvis Stojko, Doug Gilmour, actor Burt Reynolds and NBA's Orlando Magic. Currently residing in Toronto, Steven and wife Michelle have two children, Zach and Sarah. Steven is now devoting his career to specialize in sports art were he feels his brushwork talents can best capture the true essence, speed and excitement of sports.
